Fire an Rescue crews are spen’in a second day battlin wildfires that hae closed a number o roads north o Grantown-on-Spey in the Hielans.
Emergency services were telt o a muckle blaze by the A939 at Dava at 17:50 on Saturday.
That road stuid shut through Sunday, as did the A940 at Dava an the nearby B9007 ’tween Duthil an Ferness.
The polis hae urged fowk tae steer clear o the area an advise thae livin nearby tae keep their windows an doors shut.
Ae witness, wha tried tae pit the initial fire oot, telt BBC Scotland News it started south-east o Loch Allan.
They said the seat o the wildfire wis a ring o stanes whaur a camp fire had been lit an campin chairs had been abandoned.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Operations Control mobilised four fire appliances to the area, where firefighters are currently working to extinguish the fire.
“Crews remain in attendance.”
